Volunteer Opportunity: 2011 Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way - Social Media & Photography
Date and time: Thursday, June 16, 2011, 4 pm - 10 pm (shift involves helping with set-up and wrap-up)

Volunteer tasks:
Assisting both United Way Toronto’s Manager, Digital Communications with posting to UWT social media profiles during the event, as well as helping respond to inquiries from our online community and people who visit our social media/photo booth (volunteer will be coached and prepared for this during set-up time) Helping tend UWT’s social media/photo booth at the event Assisting the photographer at the photo booth Uploading, cataloging and tagging photos and potentially video from the event and the photo booth Able to help set up and help maintain the social media/photo booth, keeping things moving smoothly and functioning properly
Skills and traits:
A firm grasp of the following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and YouTube A firm grasp of photo uploading and cataloging to Flickr (creating collections and sets, as well as properly labeling photos is a plus) A friendly, courteous and outgoing demeanor, as this position will also involve liaising and connecting with event goers, providing them with help, tips on social media use and directing them to UWT’s website and social media profiles
