Position Summary:

The Canadian Football League has an exciting internship opportunity to work in the field of Digital Media. We are looking for someone who is creative, hard working and passionate about Canadian football. Having fun and being a team player is required. Exceptional attention to detail is a must.

In this position, you will provide assistance to the Digital Media team at the League head office in Toronto by creating content for CFL.ca and other digital initiatives. This is a full-time contract that may require some weekend and/or evening work.

Key Responsibilities (Tasks include but are not limited to):

  • Update content on CFL.ca including news stories, video and photographs
  • Manage and maintain photo archive database of CFL images
  • Provide general maintenance of roster database, transactions, and historical databases on CFL.ca
  • Produce, edit and develop existing video content and game highlights

Qualifications:

  • Journalism, Broadcast, Digital Media student (or related program);
  • Effective time manager able to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment;
  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in the sports industry ;
  • Proficient using a content management system (CMS) and/or HTML;
  • Proficient in basic photo editing programs;
  • Video editing skills, experience with Final Cut Pro an asset

Canadian Football League Commercial Assets Intern Position

Position Summary:

The Canadian Football League has an exciting intern opportunity to work on the commercial side of the CFL Network of websites. We are looking for someone who is creative, team-oriented, hard working and passionate about the intersection between technology and sports.

In this position, you will be a part of the Digital Media team at the League head office in Toronto with a focus on managing the day to day flow of commercial activity on CFL.ca and various marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities (Tasks include but are not limited to):

  • Management of CFL.ca’s display advertising inventory (trafficking, tracking, optimizing, reporting)
  • Supporting the execution of sponsorship and marketing activations on CFL.ca
  • Reporting results via Doubleclick and Google Analytics
  • Communicating metrics and interpretations with internal stakeholders in marketing, communications and partnerships
  • Working with various agencies, clients and technology companies to deliver on digital objectives

Qualifications:

  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in digital media, sports media or technology;
  • Basic understanding of Photoshop and other graphic design programs;
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Experience with online advertising and ad servers an asset
  • Basic HTML coding ability an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian Football an asset

  • Strong project management abilities
  • Organizational, Interpersonal, and Communication skills (written and verbal)
