A new online news and current events publication based in Toronto - Ontario News Watch - has the following positions available immediately:
1) Associate Writer/Reporter:
- will help cover news conferences and events, including elections, as well as research stories
- opportunity to develop writing and reporting skills while under the supervision and mentoring of a veteran political journalist
- ability to operate P2 HD cameras an asset
- hours: 9 am -1 p.m. Monday to Thursday
- opportunity for significant remuneration
2) Visual Editor/Camera Operator
- will edit visuals for online
- familiarity with Final Cut Studio an asset
- ability to operate P2 HD cameras an asset
- hours: 1 p.m. - 6 p.m., Monday to Thursday
- opportunity for significant remuneration
Ontario News Watch will cover news and current affairs with a focus on Ontario and Queen's Park politics. If you love media and politics, these positions will provide rare opportunities as a journalist to cover and/or edit an endlessly fascinating array of stories, both short and long form.
