The Prince Arthur Herald - unpaid

The Prince Arthur Herald is Canada’s only national student newspaper. Working for the PAH you will not only have a chance to write for a national publication, you will also be helping to contribute to the diversity of expression and media available to Canadian students by writing for Canada’s only center-right student newspaper.

Job title - Columnist

Expected hours per week - One column per week, approximately 2-5 hours, or one column bi-weekly, approximately 1-2.5 hours per week.

Duties of the job - Sourcing story ideas, writing articles, working with editors to improve columns, meeting deadlines, optional photojournalism component.

Skills and experience expected of a successful candidate -

Previous experience in writing/journalism a definite asset.

For political/current events columnists - Interest in current affairs, politics, and ethical issues from a center-right perspective.

For finance, health, culture, law, and sports columnists - knowledge of, or interest in, the relevant field.

For photographers/photojournalists - Experience in photography.
