Youth for Understanding Canada is a non-profit youth exchange organization that offers international high school programs in more than 50 countries. The organization is currently seeking a marketing assistant that can help out with social media campaigns, writing and creating new marketing material and communication.
We are looking for a highly motivated student in their third or fourth year who can fill a position for 15 hours (two days) per week.
Responsibilities:
- Work on new marketing material
- Manage and update Facebook account
- Build relationships and connections with schools, organizations and youth groups
- School presentations
- Student interviews
Qualifications
- Interest for and experience from marketing and communications
- Excellent skills and familiarity with using social media
- Independent and comfortable with setting goals and managing your own tasks and duties
- A definite asset if you are comfortable with using InDesign
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking
- Experience from traveling and/or exchange is desirable
- Web Design and experience with creating and managing a website is a definite plus
