The successful candidate must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an under-graduate Journalism program. Furthermore, the candidate must posses the skills and flexibility to tailor the content to children. Past experience working with children in a professional setting is preferred but not necessary. The successful candidate must be an organized, self-starter, and detail oriented individual with the enthusiasm to be a part of this rapidly growing organization.
Duties of the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to:
- Content research
- Writing and editing of news articles
- Coordinating with foreign consultants for content purposes
- Monitoring daily events, and filtering the age appropriate content
- Developing new sections and topics to include in GoGoNews
The successful candidate will be required to work 20-30 hours a week. The number of hours may vary depending on the level of initiative the candidate shows. If hours decrease or increase significantly, the candidate’s pay will be adjusted accordingly.
This is a paid internship. The salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
