Hours
· Part-time (about 5-10 hours per week)
Responsibilities
· Manage Facebook and Twitter accounts
· Manage and collaborate with Communications team members (including helping them with assignments, catch up calls/meetings, organizing them, etc.)
· Work together and maintain contact with directors of national team
· Responsible for all press newsletters, and press releases
· Aid in putting together action alerts, alerts to Stand email subscribers
· Constantly keep up to date the list of media contacts
Qualifications
· Outstanding communications skills, both oral and written
· Self-motivated and able to work independently
· Enthusiastic
· Desire to make a difference for the people of Darfur
· Must have previous communications experience, and/or be currently enrolled in a communications program.

· Stand Canada is a national advocacy organization with chapters across the country that aims to make genocide prevention a cornerstone of Canada’s foreign policy. Through tools like 1-800-Genocide and our monthly Darfur Digest, we help Canadians stay up-to-date on the current situation in Darfur, and provide them with daily actions they can do to make a difference.
