Job title: Associate Producer
Job Payment: Honorarium
Rate of remuneration: tbd (commensurate with project success)
Expected hours per week: 15
Duties of the job: To help produce a weekly live streamed webshow from the Centre for Social Innovation (720 Bathurst S/Bloor). Duties include: guest co-ordination/research, social media promotion, live video production/post production.
Skills and experience expected of a successful candidate:
Excellent problem solving & communication skills, video production and/or journalistic writing/editing skills, interest in/knowledge of internet marketing/promotion, web video.
We need a producer with exemplary problem-solving abilities, outstanding communication skills, and a love of multi-media storytelling (bonus: A passion for social change).
Candidates should have interest and/or excellence in:
1) Building & keeping an online audience; needs to know ‘what’s hot’ in online media strategies.
2) Internet Video production (3 camera live switching, audio mixing, lighting, etc.)
3) Live streaming technology (through a ‘fibre-optic’ internet pipe!)
A brief word about our project: CSI LIVE is a new ‘live streamed’ web series featuring socially progressive businesses in Toronto. This 12 week pilot project is a talk show format with an award-winning comic host. Starts early Feb 2011.
Duration: 8 week contract (with option to renew).
