Job Title: Sports Journalist/reporter, Video editor, photographer
Compensation: unpaid. As NPH continues to grow, (paid) job openings will become available.
Expected Hours/week: Varies on the intern. He/she has the option of working between 1-20+ hours/week
Internship responsibilities:
Journalist:
-Cover games in surrounding areas (Raptors/CCAA/CIS/High school, National team) with game recaps, feature stories on top players, scout top talent
Video Editor: Collect video footage of specific games and players to create game highlights, player mix tapes, advertisements, promotional video, etc.
Photographer: Shooting games/tournaments/events
Purpose of Northpolehoops:
To provide a major media outlet for all levels of Canadian basketball and help in the growth of the sport in our country
Skills and Experience:
Must be a passionate sports fan with good writing abilities. Accepted candidates will be given writing guidelines for various types of stories (feature, recap, scouting report)
