Video Intern (Politics) wanted at The Mark

The Mark is looking for a part-time video intern to assist in producing content for our Politics section. Candidates should be familiar with the big issues, ideas and individuals in Canadian politics, policy-making and international affairs.

The job combines research, chase production, and video editing. This is an opportunity to help shape the editorial content of The Mark's ground-breaking Politics section.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

* Experience filming and editing video.

* Experience using Final Cut Pro (or Express).

* Demonstrated interest in journalism.

* Ability to craft interesting story ideas and to make them accessible to a broad audience.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Good research skills.

Additional Information

* All candidates should be self-driven university students or recent grads who can thrive in a team environment.

* Part-time position -> 20-30 hours/week, Mon-Fri, unpaid.

* Start date: ASAP
