Editorial Intern position - TODAY’S PARENT magazine
Location: 1 Mount Pleasant Road (Rogers campus)
Time frame: December 2009 through February 2010, or January through March, 2010
Description: Today’s Parent, Canada’s top parenting magazine, is looking for an editorial intern to handle fact-checking, research and some administrative duties (invoice payments, responding to reader letters, vetting PR requests). We can’t pay you, but we can offer a wealth of experiences to the individual who joins our lean editorial team (in other words, you won’t be stuck filing for four months). Almost all of our interns leave with a short bylined article or sidebar to put in his or her portfolio.
Hours are negotiable and can be flexible to accommodate your schedule, but in general we ask for a commitment of two days per week (about 14 hours). Our office location at Bloor and Jarvis streets is a short walk, and even shorter TTC ride, from Ryerson.
