Globe and Mail - summer internship

The Globe and Mail is now accepting applications for the 2011 summer employment programs. Once again this year, to accommodate more efficient processing of applicants, we are accepting expressions of interest by e-mail only. Phone calls will not be accepted. Please past your information into the e-mail window or attach as a PC Word document. Mac attachments will not be processed. Also, please specify whether you are seeking a reporting or editing job. You can apply for both, but please do so separately.

In the subject line please indicate your school and whether you are seeking editing or reporting jobs. For example, Ryerson-editing would mean you are attending Ryerson and seeking an editing internship.

If you have finished school please indicate the city where you live and which you prefer. You can also mention photography, design or online as a preference.

Applicants should e-mail the following information by November 12 to: summerjobs@globeandmail.com.

Resume including relevant newspaper experience including a school paper.

A cover letter that includes 100-word explanation of what you would bring to the Globe as an editor or a reporter.

And two clippings of your work, attached electronically.

Interviews will begin in December.

The Globe and Mail is Canada’s national newspaper. An organization which has won more national journalism awards than any other and a website which has won international awards including two Emmys. Please go to globeandmail.com to see our news coverage.
