Summer journalism internship with Media Spot Me
Overview:
Work on vetting expert profiles that journalists search to find
interview guests and connect with journalists on social media. F/T ($500/month
stipend) or P/T (money TBD).

What you will do:
a. Co-manage Media Spot Me’s twitter (@mediaspotme) account and
Facebook page. The focus is helping journalists by connecting with them about
experts on Media Spot Me and providing things of value beyond Media Spot Me.
b. Vet expert profiles: Before experts can be searched by
journalists they are reviewed.
About us:
Media Spot Me is a startup for journalists to discover experts
to interview. It launched in March 2013. The founders are a former TV producer
at TVO and a developer. For more info about the co-founders mediaspotme.com/#bottomoffooter.
We have an office in the VeloCity garage at the Communitech hub
in Kitchener (think a bigger badder DMZ), a Communitech co-working space at
University and King, Google hangouts, mobile phones, and desks at home
(journalist co-founder lives in Toronto, developer co-founder in Waterloo).
Money:
Stipend of $500/month. Less if working part time.
Conditions:
While our preference is full time, we will consider part time.
If you are talented we can make it work. You will work at a combination of
home, office (either Toronto or K-W), coffee shop or wherever else is
convenient for all involved. We work wherever and whenever is needed to be
efficient. For us flexibility and freedom are two ways streets.
