Media Intern, Lexpert Magazine - honorarium

Media Intern, Lexpert Magazine:

The selected intern will report to the Managing Editor and assist the entire editorial team with the overall production of the magazine editorial, blog and other Lexpert media products. The individual will participate directly in key editorial tasks while gaining experience and knowledge of the overall magazine production process including:

- Researching and generating editorial ideas

- Proofreading of editorial features, columns and special sections of the magazine

- Research and fact checking for Lexpert editorial

- Coordinating joint initiatives with other media within Thomson Reuters, such as Reuters, Canadian Lawyer, Law Times, Canadian HR Reporter and external partners such as The Globe and Mail.

- Research and possible writing for the blog, weekly Globe and Mail online article, Lexpet student site and other online Lexpert initiatives

- Assisting with Lexpert social media initiatives

The ideal candidate will be a journalism or law student or recent graduate, or with equivalent experience, with an interest in legal business journalism, resourceful, independent, and has confidence in his or her writing abilities.

This internship requires a consistent commitment of approximately 15 hours 3 days per week. Not only does Carswell offer some of the most meaningful internships within the GTA, we also offer a $500 honorarium per internship.
