Aylmer Express is a paid-subscription weekly newspaper of record, independently owned since 1880. Owned by the Hueston family since 1947. We won OCNA’s best investigative feature last year on oxycontin abuse in the area. We won best community service as well. We regularly win or place for best agriculture edition as well as photos.

Seeking full-time motivated journalist with classical training, a nose for news, confidence, and writing and photographic skills.
To cover: municipal councils, school events, sports, politics, hard news, features. Weekly newspaper deadlines and online updates required.
We provide: modern office, desk, computer/Internet, Nikon camera equipment (reporters can supply their own).
Full-time hours/pay ($30-$40K/year), mileage, excellent benefits program.
Creativity/independence encouraged. Residence nearby preferred. Weekend work required (on a revolving schedule).
