Stand For The Dead Outreach Director
Stand Canada is a virtual, not for profit organization that strives to make it easy to act against genocide by creating simple and effective ways for Canadians to take action. Our primary goal is to see Canada become the world leader in stopping genocide, starting with the Darfur region of Sudan.
Stand is recruiting for an Outreach Director to ensure that Stand For The Dead is reaches out to the community and brings powerful supporters into the campaign.
Responsibilities:
• Approach politicians and celebrities to endorse the campaign
• Work with other teams to ensure other broader outreach strategies (for example to Canadian students) are effective
• Brainstorm outreach strategies, with the goal of increasing the visibility and recognition of the campaign
Qualities Desired:
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Able to work independently
• Desire to see Canada become a world leader in stopping genocide
