Chief of Research
Description: This individual will be responsible for overseeing and handling the bulk of online and print fact checking as well as training youth hires and editorial interns in fact checking and research. As well, the Chief of Research will be responsible for providing assistance in researching and sourcing in-depth feature articles, developing new content and chasing new leads.
Type: Unpaid Internship
Qualifications:
• Experience working for print or online publication as fact checker or researcher
• Strong research background
• Keen interest in and knowledge of urban culture
• Highly resourceful
• Organized and deadline conscientious
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Commitment:
• 10 to 12 hours a week from office
• 1 Year Period
• Exclusivity to Urbanology Magazine from any other “urban” print or online publication
• Attendance at bi-weekly editorial meetings 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays
