The Fort McMurray Today has an immediate opening for a
summer intern reporter. Over a 12-week period, the summer intern will cover a
wide range of local news, including a federal byelection, oilsands and
environmental news, sports, and general assignment/community events.
The ideal candidate will bring:
-Previous experience in a daily newsroom -Strong
photography skills -Ability to cover breaking/developing news -Familiarity with
CMS and social media -Eagerness to find and pursue his or her own story
assignments
