Part-Time Enhancer
(union position)
The Sun Media News Research Centre in Toronto has an immediate opening for a part-time Enhancer (25 hours per week, union position).
The successful candidate will be required to work evening/overnight shifts, weekends and statutory holidays.
Job requirements:
• French language comprehension for working with French language newspaper articles
• excellent PC & Mac keyboard skills
• careful & thorough attention to detail
• ability to communicate & work well with fellow Enhancers & Sun Media news research staff
• excellent English language skills, i.e. spelling and grammar, in a newspaper production environment
Job responsibilities (training provided):
• locate, drag and drop PDF newspaper pages
• working with pre-designed template & customized filter
• software, the Enhancer ensures that all fields have correct content or adds missing content
• check reports to ensure data transmission for all Sun Media newspapers is successful
• follow up on technical problems
Hours:
• 25 hours per week, starting after 10 pm
• 5 hours per shift
• reliable transportation to & from job required
