EDITORIAL INTERN - Unpaid Internship

Acquired Taste Magazine is dedicated to bringing you content that illustrates food at its rawest by combining the best elements of print and online media to create a new platform featuring original editorial, photo essays and features.
We aim to redefine the world of food and wine as well as food & wine publications as we know it. This online publication will serve as common ground for first time foodies and experienced connoisseurs. We believe that there has to be a balance between great content and attractive editorial so our careful use of photography, video & design reflect that.
We are trying to be more than just a food magazine, but the voice of a Food Movement around the world.
We are currently looking for an EDITORIAL INTERN to assist ACQTASTE editors with various aspects of the magazine.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting in reading, filtering, and responding to submissions as well as other emails and letters
* Assist in transcribing interviews
* Basic administrative duties – phones, mailings, errands
* Editorial research, copy editing and fact checking for print and web
* Finding places to promote/send ACQTASTE pieces online
Background / Skills:
* Interest in current events, print and online media
* Desire to work at a start up company where creativity is welcomed but hard work is expected
* The ability to meet deadlines
* Strong writing & copyediting skills
* Blogging & CMS background useful
