Canwest News Service is looking for four of Canada’s brightest young journalists to spend the summer in its Ottawa newsroom. The successful applicants will be:
• highly motivated self-starters bursting with story ideas;
• skilled interviewers and strong writers;
• interested in anything and everything;
• well-read, informed and current;
• creative and disciplined under pressure;
• technologically savvy;
• and passionate about the world and their work.
These are full-time, paid, 16-week contracts. Most shifts are weekdays but evening and weekend work is involved. The job will include reporting and editing, for print and online, as well as other duties that may arise. Multimedia skills and additional languages are assets. Previous experience is preferred.
