Job title: Staff Reporter
Oye! Times is a South Asian web portal. (www.oyetimes.com) We are looking for reporters to join our team of excellent storytellers. Must be enterprising and able to make cold calls to potential news sources to build contacts and generate story ideas. We're looking for students with outstanding storytelling abilities, who can grab the emotional edge of a story and deliver it to the audience in a way that they'll remember. Candidate will have excellent language and visual skills and must be able to effectively use words, pictures, graphics and sound in telling compelling stories. Candidates must have knowledge of reporting on new media platforms, including the worldwide web.
Note: Although we are a South Asian portal our content is not restricted to South Asians issues only. We are open to adding various Non-South Asian content to the site. We love new ideas and encourage “out of box” thinking.
