Communications Internship with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in downtown Toronto

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation is looking for a stellar communications student who is equipped to research interview backgrounders, prepare speaking remark drafts, proof-read, maintain online content, work with social media as well as various other communications and administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity for students who are almost finished their communications program or recent graduates who are looking to gain valuable work experience in their field with the leading national volunteer-based organization in Canada dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer.

Who we are looking for? An enthusiastic individual who can commit to working three to four days, roughly 12 – 16 hours per week. Your demonstrate your commitment by being punctual and completing your tasks with attention to detail. to show up for your weekly shifts and to getting your work tasks completed on time.

When will you begin? We are flexible. We are either looking for an intern to from January to April or beginning in May or June and going until August or September.

Where you will work?
Our offices are located in the heart of the downtown Toronto, 20 Victoria Street (nearest intersection King St. & Yonge St.)
It would be an asset if you had? Media relations experience and graphic support skills.

How will you get to work? The Marketing and Communications Department at the Foundation will pay for your monthly TTC Metropass for the duration of your internship.

Will I get paid for my services? Not only will you gain valuable work experience that employers are looking for, we will also offer a $1,000 honorarium upon successful completion of the internship.
