NFP Website Designer Needed!

The Human Rights League of the Horn of Africa is looking for a volunteer to help develop our website!

About us:

HRLHA was founded by exiled members of a human rights organization in Ethiopia and is gaining membership strength in Canada. It is a registered non-profit and non-political organization that operates out of Toronto, Ontario.

Volunteer Opportunity:

We need to update the layout of our website and redesign our logo. Although all of our content is current, we would like to be able to present it to the public in a more user friendly format.

HRLHA is looking for a part time volunteer to work with our communications specialist to put a new spin on an old site. The time commitment for this placement is flexible as is the location. We ask that you commit to a few initial brainstorming meetings and then one subsequent meeting per week to discuss the progress of the site.

We are looking for someone creative and interested in web design. You should have some experience in graphic design and building sites. No formal training is necessary.

What can you gain?

By applying for this opportunity you are exposing yourself to an opportunity that will offer:

- A great form for creativity! With support from our team, you can see a project from start to finish.

- You will be credited for making a fully functional and important website that you can show to future or current employers.

- Fabulous chance to give to a NFP organization through your skill set!

- Learn more about how these types of groups work.

- Be exposed to communications professionals in the NFP sector.

- Can accumulate volunteer hours with a registered non-profit group.

- This placement looks great on a resume and we are more than happy to give references!

How to get involved:

Please send a CV and brief letter outlining why you would like to be considered for this opportunity as well as your availability.

Send your application or any questions to Verity Conrad at vconrad@humanrightsleague.com or call 416-301-2631
