About 108 ideaspace:  If you are familiar with the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail's Globefund/Globeinvestor, Workopolis, you probably know about our team's work - we put these, and 100+ other major organizations online, from 1994.  Or you might have seen us in over 500 media mentions, 350+ articles, 180+ hours of video, 19 whitepapers, and 7 books.  Content is critical, and we are looking for a community manager/blogger to work on our content team, serving some of our more exacting clients.  More about us at www.108ideaspace.com
Community Manager/Blogger
This is an on-site, full-time opportunity to join the 108 ideaspace content team.  The role is based out of our downtown Toronto office.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in journalism, english, PR, business, or related field
  • Complete fluency in English is a key requirement; Fluency in French or Mandarin is an asset
  • Strong copywriting/blogging skills and the ability to evaluate and proof copy, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and visual document presentation skills.
  • Minimum one-year post-graduation in a community management or corporate blogging role
  • Ability to work to a deadline
  • Experience working with social media venues and tools
  • Solid understanding of basic HTML, and CSS
  • Experience/knowledge of SEO, WordPress, PPC campaigns, Online promotions, developing email marketing campaigns, Website analytics.
  • Loves to write, loves to interact with the general public
  • Self-starter; takes the initiative
  • A nice person
Responsibilities:
  • Write daily blog, Twitter and other Social Media posts post on behalf of 108 ideaspace clients
  • Respond to community questions, encourage engagement
  • Create email campaigns, email copy, landing pages, and A/B testing, to improve conversion
  • Create inbound marketing and CRM follow-up campaigns
  • Maintain video upload process and YouTube page
  • Coordinate design and technology changes with internal team.
  • Client interaction and reporting
  • Copywriting and content development for client web projects
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of marketing activities through website analytics and inquiries.
  • In addition to client responsibilities, participate in 108 ideaspace inbound marketing campaign development.
