Job Title: On-Camera Host / Field Reporter
Dates: Freelance position from February 1st, 2011 – December 31st, 2011
Cities: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax
Wage: $200 - $300 per shoot
Purpose of Position:
o TrojanOne is looking for a confident, personable individual who has experience in Hosting, Broadcasting, Public/Media Relations and ideally has a love for the automotive industry or anything on Wheels!
o To create conversation in the marketplace in order to build our client, a leader in the toy industry, into a culturally relevant boys franchise
o You will be responsible for delivering our client’s key messages with the ability to identify media opportunities that support our outlined objectives
Job Description:
o To represent TrojanOne and client values at all times with a strong emphasis on in-field activity in and around your city
o Cover and create real-time video content from car, racing and vehicle events throughout the year
o Ideal candidate will be aged 16-26, social and appeal to boys of all ages
o Must have experience in video production and understand what appeals to consumers on YouTube
o Should have a passion for all things on “Wheels” (cars, bikes, skateboards)
o They will be reporting from events such as car shows, skateboarding events, snowmobile races, Indy and BMX
o Provide a fun and interactive experience for event attendants and online viewers
o Be well-presented with a positive attitude when attending events
o Exact event schedule is TBD. However workload will be dependent on how busy the on-site event schedule is and time of year
o Travel within your market may be required, access to a vehicle is preferred
Education & Experience:
o Degree/Diploma/Certificate in broadcasting, public relations, journalism, communications and experience or background related to the automotive industry or anything on wheels
o On-Camera hosting with the ability to shoot material and edit independently and have a real passion for Wheels!
o Must have your own video camera
