Canadian Occupational Safety, the most widely read publication on occupational safety in Canada, is seeking an Online Editorial Intern.
Working closely with the Editor, you will gain hands-on experience in the world of digital publishing. This internship program is an excellent opportunity to hone your online writing and content creation skills, and give you the tools you need to jumpstart your career in media.
The Intern will explore opportunities for online audience engagement, including assisting in the production of multimedia content (articles, videos, webinars). The intern will also be given an opportunity to present his/her ideas, such as story development, webinar topics, etc., as well as write some online articles, as defined in the integrated editorial calendar. During the course of the internship, there will be lots of opportunities for learning about online writing techniques, content management system, video production and webinar development.
The ideal candidate will be a Journalism or Communications student or recent graduate with confidence in their writing abilities. This candidate is detail oriented, organized, and has an interest in various aspects of new media.
This internship will begin as soon as possible and require approximately 20 hours of consistent commitment each week.
We offer a $500 honorarium for each internship. Show us that you’re the best intern in the 2010 calendar year and we’ll give you $2,000!
