Job Posting : RSU Student Videographer
The Ryerson Students’ Union (RSU) is currently seeking a candidate to create two promotional videos.
Start Date: August 1 2012
End Date: Aug 15 2012
Compensation: $700 honorarium (Note: This compensation rate is based on owning all equipment)
Cost Breakdown
Edit each video: $200 x2 = $400
Shooting: $300 per day (min 8hrs)

Total: $700
Responsibilities:
• Responsibly for creating 2, 2-3 minute promotional videos for the Ryerson Students Union
• Responsible for filming and editing video
• Works Collaboratively with the RSU executive, and with the Executive Director Communications and Outreach to develop video concept
Successful Candidates:
• Will possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Have the Ability to be innovative and solve problems in a diverse and challenging environment
• Possess strong time management skills
• Will own all equipment and software. (outlined below)
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of:
- Final Cut Pro or equivalent editing software
- Adobe After Effects or equivalent graphics software
- Audio editing software
• Must be able to operate:
- HD DSLR video camera (must own) (Canon T3i or better)
- Image stabilized lens (ideally canon 24mm-104mm f4 IS, but that can be rented)
- Two batteries for camera and min. 32GB of card memory (can rent)
- Video tripod
- Separate sound recorder (can rent) (Tascam or equivalent)
- Shotgun microphone with boom pole (can rent) (entry level Shure mic or better)
- Knowledge of lighting equipment (can rent) (only if required)
• Must provide examples of previous work
