Location: Yonge and Sheppard (Toronto)
Internship period: September 4 to November 30, 2012 (three months), four days
per week
Compensation: Unpaid, but monthly honorarium is offered

More, a Canadian magazine targeted at 40-plus women, is looking for a factchecking intern seeking practical experience working for a busy publication. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the best writers and editors in Canada and play an integral role in bringing magazine articles to print.
Responsibilities could include:
-Fact-checking stories on a wide variety of topics
-Entering changes into InCopy files
-Conducting research for various story concepts and sidebars
-Attending selected editorial meetings
Education:
-A recent graduate of a post-secondary Journalism or Magazine Publishing program
Qualifications:
-Some fact-checking experience is required through either a post-secondary factchecking
course or print-based work setting
-Strong research skills
-Attention to detail
-Strong spelling and grammar skills
-Ability to work independently and as a team member
-Interest in women’s issues and health
-Willingness to learn
