AOL Canada - paid

AOL Canada Journalism Internship

If you wanted that print reporting internship or to work for a traditional media outlet, this isn’t for you.

If you love the rush of breaking news, relish the opportunity to craft the perfect headline and have the confidence to make great lineup decisions, maybe this is for you.

If you use Twitter and Facebook, not only to consume information but to share, engage and plunge in with vigour, then maybe this is for you.

If you are looking at the media landscape and thought, "Maybe I should work in digital," then hey, you’re on the right track.

And if you love the HuffPost, then read on:

AOL Canada and The Huffington Post Canada are looking for driven, talented, plug-and-play editors to join our team for the summer. You are a self-starter with a proven record of doing journalism, such as writing and editing for your school paper. You know how to Tweet and understand SEO. You can craft clever headlines, edit for CP style by rote and photo edit while you’re at it. You won’t hesitate to bring ideas to the table and write on the fly. Fast (but smart) is the way you operate. You don’t balk at picking up the phone and are able to juggle everything detailed in this paragraph, and more. Bring it on, you say.

This is a fast-paced, intensive internship that requires dedication and enthusiasm. But you knew that.

Qualifications:

• Communications & Journalism majors preferred
