Hours: 33 hours per week
Compensation: $10.25 per hour

Founded in 1984, Women in Film & Television – Toronto (WIFT-T) is a not-for-profit professional organization that supports women in screen-based media—film, television and digital media—to build, advance and sustain their careers nationally and internationally. Our mission is to enhance the skills of our members so they can become significant decision-makers at all levels of the industry. This is achieved by providing access to high quality programming, mentoring, networking and industry events that recognize the talents and potential of women.
Responsibilities
• Assist with membership outreach
• Collate membership feedback and respond to general inquiries
• Maintain comprehensive records of active members in the database
• Process new membership and renewal applications and follow-up with members regarding annual membership dues and renewals
• Assist with programming and coordinating member events
• Edit/summarize materials, such as promotional materials, speaker biographies etc.
• Assist the Communications Officer in the development of concept and copy for advertising campaigns
• Assist with social media campaigns using Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in and others
• Conduct media outreach (including on the phone) and research for the International Women in Digital Media Summit and Industry Research Study
• Assist with website content management
• Track media coverage and prepare reports
Qualifications
o Must be enrolled as full-time student in a post-secondary institution, returning in the fall
o Must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
o Strong administrative and organizational skills
o Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
o Ability to problem solve, take initiative, and set priorities
o Strong technical proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and Access), some HTML experience preferred
o Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Please note this position may require occasional attendance at early morning, evening and weekend events.
