Concept:
The negotiation podcast will explore the hidden assumptions people have when setting
goals, asking for what they want and managing conflict in business and in life, and offer
new ways of thinking to help listeners excel.
This weekly show will tackle a range of issues facing a broad listener base from how to coexist
at home, succeed at work and understand why people do what they do. We strive to
entertain through witty banter of the shows’ hosts and help listeners by offering new ways
of thinking and practical advice. Analogous podcasts include Freakonomics and the
Advanced Selling Podcast. The podcast will be powered/ financed by Bridge Consulting
International Inc., but will be hosted independently on the web and on itunes.
The Position:
We are currently looking for a talented co-host to play the role of reporter and interviewer
to our content expert in negotiation and conflict management, Dan Green. Episodes will
last from 20-30 minutes, released weekly but recorded monthly in a single afternoon.
The reporter/ co-host will come with a range of questions developed by interviewing people
from a range of industries and age groups as well as any other research the reporter
deems necessary. The co-host will receive co-creator credit and be expected to invest
roughly 2 days per month in research, prep and recording of the podcast.
Ideal candidates:
This position is ideal for a creative, motivated, business journalist looking to develop an
online following and develop their expertise in the use of podcast as a media tool.
Our ideal candidate is an intelligent, fun individual who demonstrates strong critical
thinking skills, profound curiosity and a sharp sense of humour. Interest in human
psychology and business is essential. Experience in radio, journalism or business is
beneficial though not required. Preference will be given to female candidates in order to
ensure the show resonates across gender lines.
Compensation and benefits:
Co-host will be compensated $50 per episode, or $200 per recording session.
