The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of digital journalism, which includes the ability to shoot and edit video, live blogging, creating photo galleries and using social media to research and tell stories.
You will be expected to work flexible shifts, covering a variety of issues. You will also be called upon to fill in as an editor with pagination duties.
A solid photography portfolio is a definite asset.
This is a union position and the starting salary is based on experience.
You must have access to a vehicle and a valid driver's licence.
The Sault Star is an award-winning daily newspaper and website that serves a city of 75,000 in Northern Ontario. It also serves the surrounding Algoma district. It is a border city with much to offer.
