four-month term, with occasional team meetings. Deadline for application: Jan. 1, 2014, at midnight.
About you:
You have some writing/blogging/editing experience, you like bikes and you are
willing to learn and have the ability to focus your attention on details. The

part-time jobs at the same time.
The web editor will produce approximately
one or two self-generated stories per month (including in total at least two Bike Spotting sessions over four
months). PLUS you will copyedit and upload one or two stories per week from
other contributors. (Materials provided.) We work in WordPress and use Dropbox
and Gmail to liaise and coordinate with photographers and writers. Training and
style guide are provided.
Leads, story ideas, interview
contacts, writer, photographer and illustrator contacts for self-generated
stories also provided. Pitches ALWAYS welcome!
Break it down: Approximately
3-4 hours a day @ 2-3 days a week for 4 months. You will work with a variety of contributors; from highly-skilled,
established, regularly-published writers and photographers to students and guest
bloggers who work for bike advocacy groups or like-minded environmental
organizations who are looking to promote their good works and events. The
stipend is $200.
You will:
- Gain experience editing and
producing stories for a magazine, online,
- Participate in marketing
campaigns and events for the magazine,
- Get copy- and web editing
experience, and;
- Help increase positive bike
culture, especially in Toronto!

be Tweeted twice and is the responsibility of the editor who uploaded that
story.
