Writer
Unhaggle is looking for a freelancer to write well sourced,
research based, consumer focused articles on the subject of car buying in
Canada. The job requires writing approximately 3 – 4 articles a month. Pay is
on a flat rate (based on experience). Expected hours per post can be anywhere
from 2 to 5 hours depending on the topic.

on our content marketing and specifically our blog: www.unhaggle.com/blog to reach out to
Canadians and help them in their car buying process.
As a freelancer for our blog you’ll be equally responsible
to help us grow it to become the go-to source for Canadians when they have a
question about buying a new car.
Join us in making auto-related content enjoyable to read and
share to everyone (not just us car fanatics)!
What would you do?
Simply your responsibility will be to write an article once
a week on a variety of car buying topics and non-car buying topics. Goes
without saying that the content you’ll write will be unique, engaging and have
some character behind it!
For the most part the topics to write on will be provided
but we’re looking for someone who wants to go above and beyond and offer their
insights to new topics to write on and how it will increase quality traffic to
the blog.
You must also take the initiative to ask questions when
you’re assigned a topic to make sure you understand what is required for the
article.
A large segment of your work will be research driven. You
will be required to write articles that are backed by reputable sources (no…
not Wikipedia). Although it won’t be heavy research, every now and then you’ll
have to dig into consumer reports. Of course you must know that you properly
link back to your source.
Other responsibilities would include finding pictures,
graphs, and videos for each article. Not sending stock photos, but looking for
the perfect picture that will increase CTR on the article and share-ability.
Who we’re looking for?
Overall whether you’ve been published 100 times or none at
all, we’re mainly focused on finding the best writer for us. Ultimately, we’re
looking for a true hustler who is resourceful and passionate about writing
great pieces of work.
Some of the other formal things we look for are:

Able to write in jargon-free English in a voice
relatable to the average Canadian consumer

Independent worker able to work remotely with
min. assistance
3.
Experienced journalist with examples of
articles/ blog posts

You have a picture of your favourite car as your
screensaver

Well versed with our product

Results driven

Working knowledge of SEO

buying process. Make the subject line the header of your article and if it’s
captivating enough I will click through, if not it will be ignored.
But don’t just pull a bait and switch! I want to see amusing
and great content that I’ll want to share with the whole team after reading it.
