Investor's Digest of Canada

Job title: Investment writer

Rate of pay: $13 an hour

Expected hours per week: negotiable

Duties of the job:

To rewrite a variety of investment reports and analyses for Investor's Digest of Canada, a biweekly, 21-page newspaper of investment advice.

Skills and experience expected of a successful candidate:

(1) Ability to paraphrase reports from investment analysts -- and to do so in clear, concise, jargon-free English;

(2) Ability to work under deadline pressure;

(3) An interest in investments, investing or stock analysis or, failing that, a willingness to learn about the industry.

Canada's biggest newspaper devoted solely to investment advice, is published bi-weekly by Toronto-based MPL Communications which also publishes The Investment Reporter, The Canadian Mutual Fund Advisor and The Money Letter.
