Sports Commentator
Intern (2 Positions)
Location: George Brown College, Toronto
Campus: St. James Campus
Duration: Late October
2013 – March 2014 (Max 10 hours a week)
Type: Internship (Honorarium)
Position: Two (2) positions. Color / Play-by-play commentator
for George Brown College’s basketball and volleyball home games.
The George Brown College Huskies compete in the Ontario
College Athletic Association (OCAA). The season begins in October 2013 with
regular season games beginning late October. Candidates interested in these
positions must be able to make the commitment to attend most/all of the home
and exhibition games throughout the season.
Responsibilities:

Commentate either color or play by play at
George Brown Huskies home games
·
Set up and take down camera/audio/computer
equipment
·
Provide interesting information/stats/ and
general banter throughout the games
·
Research interesting information for an
informative broadcast
·
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
·
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a
recognized Broadcast Journalism program.
·
Knowledge of both volleyball and basketball as
well as an understanding of the OCAA
·
Previous experience in a similar role an asset
·
Highly motivated
·
Strong oral communication
·
Professionalism
·
Organized
