The Office of the Assembly is the administrative arm of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Our mandate is to provide non-partisan support services to all Members of Provincial Parliament.

Broadcast and Recording Service
3 Month Contract

The Broadcast and Recording Service branch of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario is seeking a student camera operator to assist in live television coverage of the proceedings of the House and Committees of the Legislative Assembly. Working in a team environment, you will be trained to operate a remote camera control system. You will be expected to have a good knowledge of basic camera shots and terminology. Occasional assignment at locations outside Toronto may be required.

To be considered for this position you will be a 3rd year College or University student in a Television Arts program. You must be able to commit and be available to work approximately 4 hours per day when the House is in session. Flexibility, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential in our work environment. You must have the ability to quickly recall names, faces and camera shot numbers. A basic knowledge of how the Assembly works will be considered an asset. The salary rate for this position is $15.36 per hour.
