Calling all music nerds: If you’ve
never heard of Chart Attack, it’s one of Canada’s oldest and most respected
indie and alternative music websites. Every day, our team shares a handpicked
selection of our favourite new bands, tracks, and music videos, along with
weekly text and video features. We like making jokes, trying new things, and
learning about awesome music, new and old. Does that sound like fun to you? It
does? Cool!
We’re looking for talented,
ambitious writers to help us with daily posts and pitch and create one-off
features or weekly columns. We’re open to all sorts of ideas.
Our ideal candidates are:
- Extremely knowledgeable about indie and alternative music
- Creative, intelligent, funny, critical, opinionated
- Extremely reliable
These are part-time internships
requiring 5-10 hours per week, and you can work whenever and wherever you are,
as long as all deadlines are met. Writers will be compensated with a $100 per
month honorarium, and we can get you access to concerts around town, free CD's,
and, of course, it’s an outstanding opportunity to network.
