Job title: Researcher/Media Assistant
Rate of pay: $10/hr
Expected hours per week: 5-10
Duties of the job:
Femmeonomics is looking for a researcher and media assistant to source story ideas, research activities across North America pertinent to women in the workplace, transcribe interviews, proofread, engage with our audience on social media outlets and maybe even write blog posts. To start, the expected workload will be 5 hours a week but is expected to double in the next couple of months.
Femmeonomics is a start-up technology and media company offering hard-hitting content and analysis for career-driven women and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.
Skills and experience expected of a successful candidate:
- Strong journalistic skills (researching, story ideas, sniffing out angles)
- Social media savvy (helping build a presence for our site and attract followers)
- Experience in using Wordpress, Twitter, FaceBook and LinkedIn
- Ability to deal with the public in a friendly and professional way
