Holmes Magazine - unpaid

Holmes Magazine is looking for two Editorial Interns. Start date is negotiable: options include immediately, early December, mid-December, or early January. It is a three-month unpaid internship, with a weekly travel stipend.

The interns here are a valued member of the team (all of our former interns have been hired on here so far), and perform fact-checking, research, and proofing.

Our interns also write quite a bit for the magazine: they are included in story meetings and are expected to pitch stories.

We are looking for people who are passionate about publishing and looking to fit in with our team, and hit the ground running right away.

Responsibilities:
Fact-checking magazine features
Pitching and writing short features and front-of-book pieces
Performing story research
Proofing layouts

Qualifications:
Excellent research skills
Professional writing experience
Ability to work under pressure
Enthusiasm for the magazine industry
Interest in the shelter market and/or building knowledge is an asset
Great communication and interpersonal skills
