The Vidafine online periodical is a visual exploration and emotional engagement of the vast ideas, concepts and products from around the world that shape our modern culture. Topics range from artistic & design content, sustainable causes, innovative ideas and groundbreaking concepts with the goal of promoting creativity and inspiration to our readers. We will be slowly refocusing our structure and presentation whereby we will be identifying pertinent trends in society today that will shape our future. This will be done through defining trends that we see happening and providing real life examples throughout the world in blog format.
Content is mostly updated in blog format allowing for flexibility and ease of publishing. Our target readers are University and College students as well as young professionals who take an interest in trends and are constantly looking for the next big thing.
In the coming months, we will be expanding quite quickly and expect to attract a large influx of readers. There is a huge potential for growth and this is an excellent opportunity for content writers to promote their talents and works with an established and rapidly emerging online periodical.
Job Description:
Tasks include but would not be limited to identifying trends and reflecting upon these trends through real life examples throughout the world. Posts would be quite informal on the most part and we plan to include our writers in as part of the team in defining and analyzing the direction of the online periodical.
Experience Requirements:
• Current students or alumni from Ryerson University with a background in Journalism or New Media
• Familiar with current trends and have a knack for finding cool stuff
• Self-motivated, reliable
• Strong Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
Expected hours per week: 5 -7 hours per week as we are looking for approximately 1 to 2 posts a week. Each post would range from 200- 500 words.
