The Bulletin is a community newspaper published monthly since 1998. We're a very small independent publication mailing over 75,000 copies per month to homes, condos, and businesses in Toronto's Downtown core.
We pay an honourarium of $35 per published piece. Our alumni include Leigh Graham (a past Ryersonian editor, now with Rogers Media), Angela Scappatura (who went from The Bulletin to the Sudbury Star), Nick Dixon (now a news anchor on CH channel), film Ph.D. Janice Kaye, Toronto Star writer Linda Nguyen, and Dose.ca and National Post contributor Dave McGinn.
One advantage we offer is that all of our stories are Downtown-centric and would not require travel time or expense for the students. Also, assignments can be customized to a student's interest areas and available time.
