SPE - unpaid

Job title: Volunteer Editor Position

Whether the job is paid: Unpaid, SPE Membership will be covered.

Expected hours per week: 4 hours per month, 8 months per year

Duties of the job / skills required:
The Society of Plastics Engineers (Ontario section) needs a part-time volunteer editor for the eight issues of its newsletter, the Spectator, which it produces each year for members. This is an opportunity to build your editorial resume as well as develop experience of a dynamic and complex industry.

We need someone who can organize and edit contributed material for issues coming out from September 2010 to June 2011. The ability to attend a monthly committee meeting in the Mississauga area would be helpful. Meetings are held every third Thursday of the month and approximately from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The individual will develop communications with the printer once the materials are edited and will work closely with them in meeting deadlines.
