Online Publication Journalist Intern
Position Summary:
Ideaform is a small company focused on creating online products that improve people's lives. 4ormat is our first product, an online portfolio platform that enables anyone to professionally showcase their body of work to clients, employers, patrons, and the world-at-large. Explore Create Repeat (ECR) is an Online magazine published by 4ormat providing insight and inspiration to the creative community.
We are seeking a Full-Time Online Publication Journalist Intern to join our team, located in downtown Toronto, primarily working on ECR.
The perfect candidate for this position is a creative at heart that understands our audience and has
explored their own creativity in the design/art world. You understand the latest trends in online
publications and will assist the Marketing Manager with research, coordination, concept and execution of ongoing and new projects to further expand the 4ormat and ECR brands. This position requires a commitment of at least 4 months.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
● Assist Marketing Manager in sourcing out content for publication / interviews, coordination and
execution of marketing projects and campaigns
● Assist with regular posting of content on social media sites through Facebook, Twitter, and
Google+
● Aid in the preparation of monthly publication posts
● Demonstrate leadership and sustain team organization in an effort to meet deadlines/goals
● Team and independent work on isolated and on-going projects
Qualifications:
● Working towards or currently hold a Diploma or Degree in Journalism or Media Communication
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Excellent copywriting skills
● Knowledge / active use (preferred) of Social Media tools i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Google+
● Be highly motivated; a self-starter with the ability to multi-task
● Preferred proficiency on Apple Platform and Google Docs
● Knowledge of manoeuvring around social community sites for research purposes
● Strong time management skills to ensure all tasks and projects given are done efficiently and
successfully

Compensation: $2,000 honorarium
